The government of France has funded Dynabiod, an unprecedented scientific programme dedicated to terrestrial biodiversity with a lifespan of 8 years, with 45 million €.
Led by Wilfried Thuiller at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and by Emmanuelle Porcher and Rodolphe Rougerie at the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle (MNHM), Dynabiod’s ambition is to understand how plants and invertebrates are evolving under pressure from human activities, supporting public policies to act more quickly and more effectively.
Key features of Dynabiod will be:
- Building the first multimodal reference database.
- High-tech surveillance.
- Predictive models for decision-making.
